A Small Party

With a small sigh, I sit down and watch the two flirt. The party was starting to die down and get boring, but I had no idea how to liven it up.

"Hey Miya" Riotier said "what happened tonight i can't remember much. I didn't do anything stupid did I" Saying all of this with much less of a slur then before sobering slightly from a small nap he had a bit ago.

"Hmm..." I say, trailing off in thought. "I guess nothing much, besides barfing and dancing." I say, deciding to make light of the awkwardness with a good laugh.

"Well I am a good dancer, who'd i dance with you or Elysia or one of the guys?" Riotier said "I Barfed, well please don't think bad of me its just i don't cut loose much."

"You lurch-danced with me, but you didn't barf on anyone, thankfully." I say, with a noticeable smile. "You truly stole the show!" I say teasingly.

"Well Miya I could show you how i dance when I'm sober all you have to do is take my hand and trust me " Riotier said to the smiling girl "Then we can both steal the floor" Saying this while moving closer and holding out his hand with a small smile on his face.

"Tch. Fine. It's getting kinda boring, may as well do something fun." I say, accepting his hand.

"Guys if it is getting boring we could do what luc suggested and swim." I say gestering at the boxes untouched. "Then agian we could of course cook something on the fire I could go hunt." I say looking at the fire.

Pulling Miya closer than strictly necessary and putting his other hand on her hip He began to led them in slow circles occasionally taking a step forward or back. Then he heard a voice but decided to ignore it leaning his face close to Miya's smiling the whole time "How's this" Riotier whispered.

I notice that we are closer than necessary, but decide to forgive since he is still slightly drunk. "Much better. Less lurching." I say, trying to concentrate on my footing.

Riotier then picked up Miya and twirled her around but when he stops he doesn't let her feet touch the ground keeping her aloft. "You know Miya if i didn't know any better i would kiss you" he said while leaning his head close to hers and staring into her eyes "o what do you say yes or no."

I look back at him for a bit, then make my decision. With a childish smile, I hug him around the neck and give him a small kiss on the cheek. "How 'bout that?" I ask.

Riotier smiled and placed Miya on the ground "It's a start. Would you like to keep dancing" he asked as he had yet to let go of her hand and hip "or shall we get to know each other by whats left of the fire."

"Let's just chit-chat." I say, sitting down where I stood. "It's pleasant." I add companionably.

Sitting across from the girl "So was the party a success or did someone ruin it?" Riotier said "anything bad happen and if you could talk a little quieter please my heads starting to hurt."

"Sorry." I whisper. "It's not my fault you got drunk. The party's been okay, I guess, though." I continue to whisper. "Have you had fun? At least, of what you can remember?"

"I guess" he said while smiling "but this last bit has been the best by far. I hope I wasn't out of line." he said and placed his hand on hers "If i did anything to upset you while i was drunk i am truly sorry."

I smile whole-heartedly at him. "It's fine; don't be so hard on yourself." I say, adding a laugh to the end, still frustrated with how serious this once-frivolous event was becoming.

Still holding Miya's hand Riotier shifted to sit beside her "Enough about me what about you, anyone looking after you you know except your brother over there" leaning his shoulder on her after slouching down to meet her height. "Why'd you have this party anyway?"

I shrug. "Why not? I didn't know any people; people come to parties; I meet people. Simple enough." I say, ignoring his comment about Lavi. I didn't want to deal with anything to personal, I wanted to enjoy the dwindling party.

"I..uh s-should be going I, I guess." I quickly get up and walk a small distance away and prepare to fly into the air.

"We should get together again soon" he said to Miya "anywhere you want my treat" as he watched the red headed angel walk away.

"Bye Bastion!" I shout, waving. "I'll remember that." I say to Riotier, sticking my tongue out at him.

A small blush rises across my face as I meekly wave back at Miyako. "Bye..." I jump into the air and fly off.

As Riotier watches the angel fly off he turned to Miya and pulled her into a hug "I should get going to I'll show you around the caesium city if you want or go anywhere you want just say the word" Then let her go and backsteped a little.
